Individual Therapy

Dr. Judge provides individual psychotherapy to both women and men surrounding issues related to anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship difficulties, life transitions/adjustments, and parenting. Although her practice is primarily informed by cognitive behavioral techniques, her work also draws upon solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and supportive psychotherapy. Intervention often focuses on the development of positive coping strategies to enable individuals to better manage complex emotions and life circumstances.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a short-term goal oriented treatment that takes a practical approach to problem-solving. The focus is on modifying thought patterns and changing maladaptive patterns of behavior in order to create greater emotional well being. Elements of mindfulness help facilitate the "letting go" of unhelpful thoughts and emotions by focusing on the present in a more neutral and less emotionally charged way.
